Southern Soil Health Conference - Ardmore, OK

Tuesday, January 12, 2016 (All day) to Wednesday, January 13, 2016 (All day)

Southern Soil Health Conference 2016 - Ardmore, OK

Come join us for a Winter Get-Away in beautiful Ardmore, OK, January 12th & 13th, 2016. Green Cover Seed will be hosting the Second Annual Southern Soil Health Conference, an Educational Opportunity for Producers and Land Owners, at the Ardmore Convention Center. The Southern Soil Health Conference is sponsored in part by the Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation, Farm Foundation, No-Till on the Plains, Southern SARE, Texas Grazing Land Coalition, Dixon Water Foundation, Oklahoma Association of Conservation Districts, Oklahoma Conservation Commission, Sand County Foundation, the Natural Resources Defense Council, and Out on the Land. *Sponsorship does not constitute endorsement of all content.

This conference will be very unique for three main reasons:

1. This conference will focus solely on Soil Health, Cover Crops and Grazing.

2. This conference is for producers and land owners, 75% of the registration slots will be reserved for people directly involved with the land - production agriculture (crops and/or livestock) and land owners. This conference will also be producer driven with almost all the speakers and presenters being farmers. Keynote speakers will include; Dr. Allan Williams, Steve Tucker, John Heerman, and Darin Williams.

In addition, we will have 8-10 Texas and Oklahoma producers sharing about their individual experiences with Soil Health and how it has affected their farming operations. Some of these speakers are Jimmy Emmons, Craig Watson, Yates Adcock, Max Martin and more...

3. This conference is about knowledge and learning and not selling products. We will not be having a commercial trade show to promote individual companies or products.

Noble Foundation Tour

The Noble Foundation will be hosting a tour of their facilities on Monday, January 11th, from 3pm to 6:30pm. Activities for the afternoon include a tour of the beautiful Noble Foundation Campus, including the Plant Pathology Lab and the Greenhouse and an overview of the Noble Foundation history and the Agricultural Consultation Program. A light hors d’oeuvres reception will be served and is included in the $25 cost of the Noble Foundation Tour. Space is limited, so be sure and register early!
